Wilmington, Deleware Resident to Teach Business at Immaculata University

Immaculata University announces that Wilmington, Delaware resident Dr. Regan W. Garey, C.P.A., will serve as assistant professor in the Business – Accounting – Economics Department.
Prior to accepting her teaching position at Immaculata, she also taught accounting and finance courses at higher educational institutions such as West Chester University, Goldey-Beacom College, and Strayer University. In addition, Dr. Garey was professor and program chair of the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology for seven years. From 1987 to 1992, she taught taxation for St. Mary´s County in Maryland, the City Colleges of Chicago, Naval Air Station in Keflavik, Iceland, and H & R Block in Richmond, VA. Dr. Garey spent over a year as a consultant for Solomon Edwards Group. During her accounting career, she served as staff auditor and tax accountant for Tait, Weller and Baker in Philadelphia, and as an investment accountant for PNC Bank in Wilmington, DE.
To keep current in her field, Dr. Garey maintains memberships in the American Accounting Association and Wilmington Women in Business. She is a certified public accountant (CPA) for the state of Maryland. An active presenter, Dr. Garey has given several presentations on financial issues and on the topic of Emotional Intelligence.
"I am delighted to be a part of the faculty of Immaculata University. I earned my undergraduate degree at a small women´s college that also recently went co-ed. For this reason, I feel very much at home at Immaculata. I also believe that my academic credentials and experiences of living overseas several times in my life will enrich the business program," commented Dr. Garey on her new appointment at Immaculata University.
Immaculata University, a Catholic coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
