Theresa Grentz, VP for University Advancement at IU, Joins The Big Ten Network

Theresa Grentz, vice president for University Advancement for Immaculata University and former NCAA women´s basketball coach, joins the Big Ten Network as a color commentator for women´s basketball games played in the Big Ten Conference.
Starting with the Georgia Tech at Penn State women´s basketball game on Wednesday, December 2, Theresa will provide game analysis for three additional Big Ten matchups including the University of Wisconsin at Ohio State on Sunday, December 6, the Indiana University at Penn State rivalry on Sunday, January 10, and concluding with the February 28th wildcard game. Theresa has spent 33 years as a head basketball coach with 12 of those years as the women´s basketball coach for the University of Illinois where she accumulated a record of 210-156 and earned ten postseason appearances. Having coached in the Big Ten Conference, Theresa is well acquainted with the conference and will be able to bring an insider´s perspective. In addition to her extensive coaching career, Theresa was a star player for the Immaculata Mighty Macs, helping the team secure the first three consecutive national championships from 1972-1974. During that time she was named All-American and AMF National Collegiate Player of the Year and served as captain of the team for two years. A feature-length film, directed by Tim Chambers, was filmed chronicling the first Mighty Mac championship.
