The Immaculata Symphony Presents Christmas Concert

The Immaculata Symphony will perform its Christmas concert, "Holiday Favorites" on Saturday, December 9, 2006, at 7:30 p.m. in the Alumnae Hall Theater on the campus of Immaculata University. The Immaculata Symphony is a university-community organization, with a long and outstanding tradition that stems to the university´s founding in 1920. Dr. Victor Vallo, chair of the music department at Immaculata University, will serve as guest conduct of the concert, which will include both students and community members.
This year´s Christmas concert will showcase Leroy Anderson´s Christmas Festival Medley and Sleigh Ride; Peter Tchaikovsky´s The Nutcracker Suite; Ralph Vaughan Williams´ Fantasia on "Greensleeves;" and John Cacavas´ Christmas: A Symphonic Scenario.
Cost for the Christmas concert is $5.00 for general admission; all children under age 12 are free. More information and tickets are available by calling 610-647-4400, ext. 3473.
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
