				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.immaculata.edu/">Immaculata University</a> continues its annual Edith Stein Lecture Series with a presentation on Tuesday, October 16, at 7:00 p.m. in the Great Hall. Refreshment served prior to the lecture. The guest speaker will be Marion Blumenthal Lazan, co-author of <em>Four Perfect Pebbles: A Holocaust Story</em>.</p>
<p>Lazan’s unforgettable memoir recalls the devastating years that shaped her childhood.  She shares her story of courage, hope, and the will to survive.</p>
<p>The Edith Stein Lecture Series is an annual event in the spirit of Edith Stein, St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, OCD, celebrating the dialogue between faith and reason.  The event is sponsored by the Philosophy and Theology departments of Immaculata University and is free and open to the public.  To RSVP, please call 610-647-4400, ext. 3438.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://www.immaculata.edu/">Immaculata University</a> announces that Sister Judith Parsons, IHM, Ph.D., has been appointed as assistant dean of the College of Undergraduate Studies.  Sister Judith will also continue in her role as assistant professor of Philosophy.  Her new duties as assistant dean include serving as director of the Honors Program and coordinator of the honor societies.  She will also be involved with study abroad opportunities, service learning programs, internship development, and planning honors events and programming.</p>
<p>Earning her undergraduate degree from Immaculata University in English, Sister Judith then received a second Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from St. Joseph’s University. She then attended Duquesne University earning both her Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in Philosophy.  Sister Judith has dedicated her life to teaching at all levels starting in grade school and junior high schools in the Philadelphia region and becoming a graduate assistant at her alma mater at Duquesne University before returning to Immaculata in 2004.</p>
<p>With a vast knowledge of Edith Stein, Sister Judith has presented numerous times on the topic and she teaches courses on Edith Stein.</p>
<p>Immaculata University is a Catholic, comprehensive, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.</p>
