				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To celebrate Black History Month, <a href="http://www.immaculata.edu/">Immaculata University</a> is hosting a presentation by Byron Motley on <em>The</em> <em>Negro Baseball Leagues: An American Legacy</em> on Monday, February 13, at 6:00 p.m. in the Green Room.  The presentation is free and open to the public.</p>
<p>The event features a dynamic, interactive presentation on one of America’s most beloved games showcasing stories from the Negro Baseball Leagues from an insider’s perspective.  Byron Motley’s father, Bob Motley, was an umpire in the Negro Baseball Leagues for several years.</p>
<p>This event is part of a series of presentations and activities that Immaculata University is conducting during the month of February in honor of Black History Month.</p>
<p>Immaculata University is a residential, Catholic, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To celebrate Black History Month, <a href="http://www.immaculata.edu/">Immaculata University</a> is honored to have a presentation by Michael Frazier, Ph.D., associate professor of Political Science at Howard University in Washington, D.C.  Dr. Frazier will discuss “Democracy and Diversity: from Slave Ships to the White House” on Thursday, February 16, at 3:00 p.m. in the Green Room of Villa Maria Hall.  The event is free and open to the public.  Dr. Frazier will lecture on a wide variety of historical, political, and social significant events spanning from the slave trade in Africa to the 2008 election and beyond. </p>
<p>With over 28 years of experience in higher education and public administration/service, Dr. Frazier is an author and has taught and lectured world-wide.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.  He is also a sought after public speaker having appeared live on Al-Jazeera TV in 2007 reaching an audience of over 42 million; TVO Toronto, Canada, in 2005 discussing race relations in the United States; and several local television and radio programs across the U.S.</p>
<p>“Democracy and Diversity: from Slave Ships to the White House” is part of Immaculata’s programming for Black History Month.</p>
