Sister R. Patricia Fadden, IHM, President of Immaculata University, Appointed to Archdiocesan Education Panel

Immaculata University´s president, Sister R. Patricia Fadden, IHM, has been appointed by Cardinal Justin Rigali, archbishop of Philadelphia, to the Blue Ribbon Commission. The focus of the Blue Ribbon Commission is to strategize a future course of Catholic education, including elementary and secondary education, within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia´s five counties. A recommendation by the Blue Ribbon Commission is expected by fall 2011.
As president of Immaculata University since 2002, Sister Pat also serves as the chair of the Board of Education for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Sister Pat´s involvement in education includes teaching and administrative positions from elementary through university levels. In addition to serving as president of Immaculata University, Sister Pat holds leadership roles with the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania, the NCAA Colonial States Athletic Conference, and the Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE) Presidents´ Council.
The 17-member Blue Ribbon Commission consists of business, religious, and educational leaders.
