Scholarship for Business Student: Michael Sturdivant
The Immaculata University Business Department Advisory Board has selected Michael L. Sturdivant, Jr., of Philadelphia, PA (19111) for its inaugural scholarship. Sturdivant is majoring in Business Management. The scholarship, worth $1,825 in support of his educational expenses for the spring 2014 semester, is awarded to an incoming freshman Business and Accounting major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
As a business major, Sturdivant expresses a sincere passion for helping other people grow and prosper. He is actively engaged in volunteering, maintains a sound focus on his academics, and vividly articulates the valuable leadership concepts he has learned from his experiences in sports.
“Being selected for the scholarship was an excellent honor,” commented Sturdivant. “It’s always exciting to be honored by others for hard work.”
The Business Advisory Board, consisting of business leaders from the region, is funding this scholarship for the first time this year. Several advisory members were chosen to serve on the selection committee along with administrators from Immaculata University. Immaculata University’s Business and Accounting Department offers degrees in Accounting, Business Management, Business and Computer Education, Finance, and Marketing Management.
Immaculata University is a residential, Catholic, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.
