Presidential Scholar: Lauren Monreale
Immaculata University is pleased to announce that incoming freshman Lauren Monreale of Staten Island, NY, has been given a Presidential Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship worth $30,700 per year, to attend Immaculata. The Presidential Scholarship, which provides full tuition benefits to recipients, is awarded to a select number of students with a record of academic excellence. Students are evaluated on the basis of GPA (students must maintain a 3.25 GPA), class rigor, standardized test scores, class rank, and recommendations. There are four recipients of the Presidential Scholarship this year.
Monreale attended Saint Joseph Hill Academy on Staten Island, NY. During high school, she was involved in student council, Varsity soccer, a religious retreat program called Kairos, and several community-related activities such as Habitat for Humanity, a park/beach cleanup project called Trashbusters, Friends of Staten Island, and Special Olympics. Monreale plans to major in Fashion Merchandising.
Immaculata University is a comprehensive, Catholic, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.
