Nursing Student Selected for IBC Internship
Immaculata University student and Havertown, PA resident Maureen McKernan ’13 was selected from a record number of applicants to participate in the Independence Blue Cross (IBC) Nursing Internship Program during the summer. Only 25 people were chosen for this 10-week program that kicked off in May and concludes August 9.
McKernan internship assignment was at IBC’s Utilization Management Department.
“The IBC internships are highly competitive, so it’s quite an honor that one of our students was chosen,” stated Margaret Lacey, Ph.D., RN, chair and professor for the Division of Nursing at Immaculata University.
Immaculata University is a comprehensive, Catholic, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.
