New Organizational & Leadership Coaching Certificate

Immaculata University is offering a new 10-credit Organizational and Leadership Coaching program, with classes beginning in January 2013. Students will earn a stand-alone graduate certificate delivered through classes which are mostly face-to-face with some online interaction held one weekend per month.  Nine of the 10 credits earned may be applied toward Immaculata’s Master of Arts in Organization Leadership.

Earning a certificate in coaching trains leaders to bring positive organizational change by improving their emotional and social skills, equipping them for strategic planning that results in better business outcomes, helping them engage and motivate employees, and guiding them in how to influence decision-makers.

This certificate program is intended to develop the leadership skills of professionals in a variety of fields, including performance managers who would like to get better at coaching their employees, other professionals in human performance, consulting, human resources, or executive administration.

“We are very excited about this new certificate program, one of the first leadership coaching programs offered by a university in the area,” said Janice Jacobs, Ph.D., chair of the Organization Leadership Department.  “Coaches believe clients are naturally creative and resourceful so the process helps organizations and individuals develop more rapidly – providing more lasting results.  We expect to be a boon to the local business community and look forward to reaching out to the Chester County business area.”
