New Trustee: Susan McCrary
Immaculata University is pleased to announce that Upper Darby, PA, resident Susan McCrary has been appointed to the Board of Trustees for Immaculata University. McCrary will serve a three-year term.
“It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as a Trustee for Immaculata University,” stated McCrary. “I have come to know the superior education that they provide from my association with the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and from my daughter’s experience as a student there. My hope is that I can contribute my skills and expertise to help further the mission and core values of Immaculata and to continue to foster an environment that has a commitment to lifelong learning and professional excellence.”
For over ten years, McCrary has been associated with St. Ignatius Nursing and Rehab Center. She currently serves as assistant administrator where she provides direction and supervision to managers of various departments. She began her professional career designing, administering and implementing Information Systems – spending eight years in management.
Earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, McCrary completed the Microsoft SQL Server Design and Implementation certification course in 2000. As a leader in her field, McCrary uses her expertise as secretary for the Board of Trustees for St. Ignatius Nursing and Rehab Center and also serves in that same capacity for Angela Housing Services and LeadingAge PA (Southeastern Chapter). She is a member of the Mercy Associates (Mid-Atlantic Regional Community). As a member of the Board of Trustees for Hope Partnership for Education, McCrary also serves as chairperson for their Mission and Board Affairs Committee. She is also the chairperson of the School Advisory Board at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School and coordinator of the Hospitality Committee for Saint Barbara Parish.
Immaculata University’s Board of Trustees is comprised of both lay and religious leaders in the education and corporate community. As the governing body of Immaculata, the Board understands, endorses, articulates, supports and promotes the mission of the University.
