Jiangyue (Luna) Zhang, PhD, Appointed Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Immaculata University

Immaculata University announces that West Chester, PA, resident Jiangyue (Luna) Zhang, Ph.D., has been appointed Assistant Professor of Chemistry.
Previous to accepting the position at Immaculata, Dr. Zhang taught at Temple University as an instructor in the Chemistry Department. She worked in the General Chemistry Laboratory, Polymer Laboratory and the Physical Chemistry Laboratory at Temple, where her responsibilities were to prepare the class, give lectures, and provide instruction to students. In addition, she served as a course grader for the Chemistry Department as well as a researcher in Materials Science and Polymer. As a physical chemist she has expertise in numerous fields such as Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry and Advanced Instruments.
Dr. Zhang has a vast understanding of Chemistry and many of its components. She received a B.S. of Physical Chemistry at the University of Science and Technology Beijing in 2000, and a M.A. of Chemistry, Emphasis: Polymers, Physical Chemistry at the College of Science and Technology of Temple University in 2004, and in 2007 a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the College of Science and Technology of Temple University. In 2006, Dr. Zhang published "Investigation of Supported Lipid Layers on OTS Modified Spherical Silica Surfaces" with Stephanie L. Wunder. Dr. Zhang is affiliated with the American Chemistry Society and the National Science Teacher Association.
