Immaculata University’s New IU True Social Media and Edu-Tainment Station Goes Live

IU True, Immaculata University´s new social media and edu-tainment station, went live recently. An aggregate site designed to provide users with a gateway to social media and campus news, IU True also links to a variety of external resources, including news feeds, information on new technology, videos, travel information, sports and entertainment news, humanitarian and devotional websites, and new apps. Through IU True, users can donate money online to Feeding America, learn about what happened today in technology history, read SEPTA travel alerts, keep up with world news, watch videos on Immaculata´s YouTube channel, and listen to Scripture readings and meditative music.

"This new social media and edu-tainment station will enhance Immaculata´s web presence and has already increased traffic to Immaculata´s main website," says Vice President for University Communications Robert Cole.

Other universities have created social media hubs, says Seth Kovanic, Immaculata´s director of web design and analytic marketing. But the content of these hubs is generally restricted to information that is related to those specific universities. IU True is unique in that it not only provides access to Immaculata´s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn networks, but also to other websites that users might want to explore. Visit the new social media and edu-tainment station at www.immaculata.edu/iutrue.

Immaculata University is a residential, Catholic, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.
