Immaculata University’s Dr. William Carr Performs Concert at Neumann University
Dr. William Carr, a resident of Malvern, PA., and a Steinway Artist/Professor of Music at Immaculata University, will perform a piano recital at Neumann University on Friday, November 20, at 8:00 p.m. Musical pieces by Schubert, Haydn, Beethoven, Liszt, Scriabin, and Chopin will be featured.
Dr. Carr received degrees in piano performance from Temple University. He continued his studies under the world renowned Adele Marcus at the Julliard School in the Graduate Professional Studies Program. He received his Doctoral of Musical Arts Degree in piano performance from The Catholic University of America. He earned post-doctoral performances certificates from the Munich Conservatory in Chamber Music and from the Listzt Weimer Conservatory through studies with concert pianist Paul Badura-Skoda in Germany and Austria. Dr. Carr also holds a master´s degree in International Relations/International Business from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was the first recipient of the Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award at Immaculata University.
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
