Immaculata University’s Dr. William Carr Performs Benefit Concert at the Academy of Music
Dr. William Carr, a resident of Malvern, PA, and Steinway Artist/ Professor of Music at Immaculata University, will perform the Rhapsody in Blue with second piano at the Academy of Music on Saturday, February 23, at 8:00 p.m. The concert, part of Music from the Heart 2008, is a benefit for Multiple Sclerosis research.
Dr. Carr received degrees in piano performance from Temple University. He continued his studies under the world renowned Adele Marcus at the Julliard School in the Graduate Professional Studies Program. He received his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in piano performance from The Catholic University of America. He earned post-doctoral performance certificates from the Munich Conservatory in Chamber Music and from the Liszt Weimar Conservatory through studies with concert pianist Paul Badura-Skoda in Germany and Austria. Dr. Carr also holds a Master´s Degree in International Relations/International Business from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was the first recipient of the Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award at Immaculata University.
