Immaculata University’s Dr. William Carr Performs at Faculty Recital
Dr. William Carr, a resident of Malvern, PA, and Steinway Artist/ Professor of Music at Immaculata University, will perform at the faculty piano recital on Friday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall on the University´s campus.
Dr. Carr received degrees in piano performance from Temple University. He continued his studies under the world renowned Adele Marcus at the Julliard School in the Graduate Professional Studies Program. He received his Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in piano performance from The Catholic University of America. He earned post-doctoral performance certificates from the Munich Conservatory in Chamber Music and from the Liszt Weimar Conservatory through studies with concert pianist Paul Badura-Skoda in Germany and Austria. In 2005, he was named a Steinway Artists. To be included on the worldwide Steinway Artist Roster is reserved for those who are recognized by Steinway & Sons as being at the top of their field. Dr. Carr also holds a Master´s Degree in International Relations/International Business from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was the first recipient of the Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award at Immaculata University.
