IU Welcomes Nicola Difronzo-Heitzer as New Director of Admissions

Nicola C. DiFronzo-Heitzer, Ed.D., of Norristown, PA, joins Immaculata University as director of Admissions. In this capacity she will oversee the day-to-day operations of the admissions department, develop recruitment strategies, and oversee on-campus admissions events.

With over ten years experience in higher education admissions, DiFronzo-Heitzer comes to Immaculata from Harcum College where she served as Dean of Admissions for the past seven years. Prior to that position, she was the associate director of Admissions for Thomas Jefferson University for three years.

To keep current in her professional field, she maintains memberships in several organizations including the National Association for College Admission Counseling and the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling. In 2010, she presented at the Middle States Association of Collegiate Registrars and Officers of Admissions annual conference. DiFronzo-Heitzer is also a member of the Psi Chi, National Honor Society in Psychology, and Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University, DiFronzo-Heitzer continued her education earning a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College and a Doctor of Education from Widener University. She is a native of Southern New Jersey.
