Immaculata University Welcomes Dr. Eric Anderson

Bryn Mawr, PA, resident Eric E. Anderson, Ph.D., joins Immaculata University as its first chair of the Health Science and Services Department and also as assistant professor. In this new position, his duties will include management of the newly created Bachelor of Science degree programs in Healthcare Management and in Allied Health.
Throughout his career, Dr. Anderson has been involved in many different health care segments/businesses across the United States. In 1996, he founded Anderson Health Strategies, L.L.C., a healthcare consulting company, which he operated until his recent departure for Immaculata University. During this time, he continued practice as a licensed psychologist and executive coach. In addition, he served as president, chief executive officer, chief operating officer, executive vice president, and a board member for several health related businesses including Integra, Inc., and subsidiaries of PacifiCare Health Systems in California and Merck-Medco in New Jersey. He began his career as an assistant professor and coordinator of training in aging at the University of Minnesota. From 1979 to 1986, he was in private practice as a licensed consulting psychologist in Minnesota. As a psychology teacher at various educational institutions nationwide, Dr. Anderson most recently served as an adjunct professor at Chestnut Hill College.
Earning a BA degree from the University of Minnesota, graduating summa cum laude, Dr. Anderson continued his education by receiving both his MA degree in Theology and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. He received his clinical training in psychology from the Children´s Health Center (Hospital), Minneapolis, MN; Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center (Hospital) and the Andrus Gerontology Center at the University of Southern California; Veterans Administration Hospital, Long Beach, CA; and he finished at the Health Sciences Center (Hospital) at the University of Minnesota. He is a licensed psychologist in the states of Pennsylvania, California, and Minnesota.
A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Dr. Anderson retains memberships in various organizations including the American Psychological Association, the Union League, and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. In addition, he received a number of awards for leadership and has been listed for many years in numerous biographical reference works, including Who´s Who in America.

Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
