Immaculata University Unveils Mascot

As the new school year opened at Immaculata University, it marked another new beginning for a timeless tradition at this school. At the start of the 07- 08 academic years, Immaculata resurrected their Mighty Mac Mascot.
Mac was brought to campus and became part of the Immaculata Community on September 6, 2007. Mac´s goal in life is to entertain. Mac has participated in various events on and off campus. The events include: Alumni Day on Campus, handing out pins saying "If Mac can do it, you can do it" sponsoring online registration, appearing at the President´s Reception during Spirit Week on campus; participating in Malvern´s Annual Halloween Parade; The Introduction of "Mac" to Camilla Hall with a Pep Rally for all Fall Sports at Immaculata; Trick or Treat at Camilla Hall; Coatesville´s Annual Christmas Parade; Christmas banquet on campus; and ongoing tennis, soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, and basketball events both on and off campus. Mac makes appearances at all types of venues such as fundraising events, corporate meetings, alumni reunions, and sporting events. Mac is always around and is easily accessible.

Mac Biography

Mac is a gender neutral Scottie Dog and is approximately 3 to 5 years of age. This beloved puppy lives in a dog house (or a room designated to it) and is 6 feet tall weighing in at 250 lbs. Mac is part of a litter born at the Motherhouse, Villa Maria House of Studies, where it has lived for the last several years. Ironically Mac is a direct descendant of the first Scottie dog mascot, "Mackie." Mac is very intelligent and at a young age already knows the history of Immaculata, and since its introduction has befriended everyone on campus
Mac is a very positive, outgoing dog with high energy. Mac´s favorite color is Immaculata blue, and Mac´s favorite food is pizza. Mac´s favorite book is Clifford, the Big Red Dog, and its favorite movie is Our Lady of Victory, about the women´s national championship years. Mac enjoys spending time with buddies including Benji, Eddie, Lassie, Scooby, and Clifford. Mac loves all kinds of music, and loves children. Mac, who is very neat and very attentive to appearance, wears jersey(s) that are all custom-made matching whatever sports team Mac is supporting.
