Immaculata University Professor, Dr. William Watson, Receives Award for His Work

Immaculata University is pleased to announce that William E. Watson, Ph.D., has been selected to receive an award of commendation for his work: "Carl Krepper, American Pastor and Nazi Saboteur" from the Concordia Historical Institute. The Awards Committee only selects individuals who have made a unique contribution to Lutheran literature or for personal service in the field of Lutheran archival and historical work and support. The Concordia Historical Institute has selected Dr. Watson´s work as an award-winning example of material produced to further the understanding of American Lutheranism. Dr. Watson will be receiving his award on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the Concordia Historical Institute´s 36th Annual Awards Banquet, which will be held at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Watson is a professor of history at Immaculata University. He teaches courses on World Civilization, Medieval Studies, Middle East History and Politics, and Russian History. He is instrumental in the Duffy’s Cut Project and was Commonwealth Speaker for the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, 2006-2007. He also received the 2006-2007 Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award at Immaculata.
