Immaculata University Presents The Edith Stein Lecture Series

Immaculata University´s Philosophy and Theology Departments will present the annual Edith Stein Lecture Series, "From Miracle to Mystery to God: Principles and Precepts for a Return to Right-mindedness." The series deals with faith and reason, presented through the teachings of Edith Stein, St. Teresia Benedicta of the Cross, OCD.
Rev. Emmanuel Charles McCarthy, J.D., will be the guest speaker at this event, first offering a presentation, then hosting a question and answer session. A priest of the Eastern Rite of the Catholic Church, Reverend McCarthy co-founded Pax Christi-USA and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his life´s work on behalf of peace. The McCarthy´s twelfth child, Teresia Benedicta, was the confirmed miracle that led to Edith Stein´s canonization as a saint.
The lecture series will take place on Wednesday, October 11, in Immaculata´s Great Hall. At 6:30 pm, refreshments will be served during a brief gathering period before the presentation begins at 7:00 p.m.
