Immaculata University Names Gregory Striano Director of Student Activities and Leadership
Gregory Striano of Hatfield, Pa., recently joined Immaculata University as director of Student Activities and Leadership. In this new position, Greg will oversee the leadership development of Immaculata University students through various initiatives which promote student leadership, advocacy, and engagement including oversight of clubs and organizations, student governance, new student orientation, and peer mentoring programs. Previous to this position, Greg spent three years at Ursinus College as assistant director of Leadership Development and Student Activities. During this time, he took on the task of promoting student achievement by assisting students in exploring leadership abilities outside the classroom. Prior to that, he worked at Rosemont College as director of Student Activities where he supervised over twenty clubs and organizations. Greg completed an internship at Philadelphia University in the Student Activities Office. In addition, he was an intern at West Chester University for the Office of Greek Life and Student Organizations.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2003 from Ursinus College, Greg then earned a Master of Science in Counseling – Higher Education at West Chester University. He also studied abroad at Ursinus College in London, England and traveled extensively throughout Europe.
"I am very excited to be joining the Immaculata community and to work with the wonderful student leaders here at the University. Everyone has been very welcoming and I feel right at home," commented Greg on his new appointment to Immaculata University.
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of route 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
