Immaculata University is Hosting Future Business Leaders of America Competition
Approximately 225 students from Chester County´s public high schools will attend the 2010 Future Business Leaders of America (Region 9) competition being held at Immaculata University, in Chester County, on Wednesday, January 6, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Winners in each category will then go on to the state championships. There will be approximately ten categories that students will be competing in during the day. Possible topics may include public speaking, cyber security, web design, and accounting. In addition to the competition, student officers will also be elected during the event.
Future Business Leaders of America â€“ Phi Beta Lambda is a non-profit educational association of student members preparing for careers in business or who are just simply interested in learning more about the free enterprise system. Children in the Future Business Leaders of America learn about entrepreneurial and business enterprises, begin to develop money management skills, participate in service projects, and grow in character and confidence. There are over 250,000 active members in the Future Business Leaders of America; Pennsylvania has nearly 13,500 members.
"Immaculata University is honored to host this event. These are amazing students and we´re happy to be part of their development," commented Stacey Schwartz, coordinator of the event and assistant director of Admissions at Immaculata University.
Immaculata University, a Catholic, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
