Immaculata University Hosts a Fashion Show Featuring Global Fashions
Immaculata University´s Fashion â€“ Family and Consumer Sciences Department is hosting a spring fashion show â€“ IU Loves the World of Fashion â€“ featuring styles from around the world. The show takes place on Thursday, April 15, in the Great Hall, on the campus of Immaculata. The event begins at 6:00 p.m., with a social hour and the fashion show begins at 7:00 p.m.
This year´s theme, IU Loves the World of Fashion, is featuring both clothing and accessories inspired by four major fashion capitals: New York, Paris, London, and Milan. All models are Immaculata University students. Clothing and other fashion items are provided by the following stores: David´s Bridal in Plymouth Meeting; Boscov´s and Plato´s Closet in Exton; Occasions Boutique, Varani Formal, and Posh Collections all from Malvern; Malena´s, Nich, and OBVI all from West Chester. In addition, hair and makeup is being provided by three local beauty school graduates. Making its debut at this year´s fashion show is a new runway that was purchased for a new Fashion Department course being offered in Spring 2011 â€“ Fashion Show Production.
