Immaculata University Hosts 4th Annual Empty Bowl Dinner
Immaculata University´s Office of Mission and Ministry, Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), and the President´s Council are cosponsoring the 4th Annual Empty Bowl Benefit Dinner on Thursday, February 26, from, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Great Hall.
The Empty Bowl Benefit Dinner is a charity event in support of children and families affected by AIDS. Proceeds from this event will go locally to Camp Dreamcatcher in Kennett Square, PA and also to the St. Philomena Iganga Babies Home in Uganda, Africa. At the event, participants select a bowl which has been crafted and/or decorated by community members and then they fill the bowl with soup donated by area restaurants. Guests enjoy the soup and fellowship. The "empty" bowl is then taken home to serve as a reminder of the many people locally and globally, for whom an empty bowl is a daily reality.
If you would like to attend, you may purchase tickets in advance or pay when you arrive. Tickets are $15; students are $10. For more information, call 610-647-4400, ext. 3126.
Immaculata University, a Catholic coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
