Immaculata University Holds 23rd Annual Art Show
The 23rd Annual Immaculata University Art Show will be held from Sunday, February 12 through Sunday, February 19, 2006. The Art Show features the original works of over 180 regional, national, and international juried artists and will be for sale and on display in Alumnae Hall on the university´s campus. This year´s show will feature 38 artists new to the Immaculata Art Show. All proceeds of this annual event benefit Immaculata University´s programs and scholarship fund.
Matiko Mamaladze, of Media, PA, is this year´s featured artist. Since 1988, Ms. Mamaladze´s work has been seen in solo and group shows throughout the world in places such as Tbilisi, Georgia; Moscow, Russia; Mannheim and Lampertheim, Germany; and Bern and Zurich, Switzerland. As a native of Tbilisi, Georgia, she earned a Master´s degree in Fine Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tbilisi, Georgia. She has participated in the Immaculata Art Show since 2001. Mrs. Mamaladze´s husband, Parnaos Surabischwill, also participates in the Immaculata Art Show.
A ticketed Preview Reception will be held on Saturday, February 11, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Admission to the Reception is $50 per person.
