Immaculata University Announces August Workshops

INTRODUCTION TO CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION. This course is for students who have little or no knowledge of crime scene investigation procedures and techniques. The class is designed to educate students in the primary skills and procedures necessary to properly respond to, identify, preserve, and collect evidence necessary for criminal prosecution. Topics such as responding to and securing the crime scene, crime scene sketching, photography and videography techniques, evidence identification, collection at documentation, interviewing, and report writing skills will be presented. This workshop is offered on Friday, August 6, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. and continues on Saturday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The cost is $420 for one credit and $180 for non-credit.
CAREER CHOICES. If you are considering a career change, have been displaced from your current job, are re-entering the workforce after an extended leave, or are dissatisfied in your current position, this workshop will assist you in considering your options. The course explores career decision-making models and personality theory as it relates to career choice. Psychological techniques for managing change throughout the lifespan and commonly used career clarification assessments will be presented. This class is offered on Saturdays, August 7 and 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $420 for one credit and $180 for non-credit.
BEAUTY INDUSTRY: SOCIAL INDUSTRY. Inspired by social and cultural trends, the influence of the business of beauty is reinforced through print and electronic media. In this course, students evaluate the impact on society of the international multi-billion dollar beauty industry through video, class discussion, and readings. This workshop is offered on Friday, August 13, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. and continues on Sunday, August 15, from 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. The cost is $420 for one credit and $180 for non-credit.
