Havertown Resident Named Director of Admissions at Immaculata University
Immaculata University named Havertown, PA, resident Rebecca Harding Bowlby director of admissions. Her duties at Immaculata will include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the undergraduate admissions office.
Before joining Immaculata University, Ms. Bowlby served as senior associate director of Undergraduate Admission at Drexel University for four years. During her career, she has worked in the college admissions industry at Cheltenham High School as college admission counselor, Thomas Jefferson University as associate director of admission, Montgomery County Community College, and she began her professional career at Methodist Hospital School of Nursing.
Ms. Bowlby received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Wagner College in New York and earned her Master of Science in Higher Education Counseling from West Chester University where she also completed a certificate in Secondary Counseling.
To keep current in her professional field she retains a membership in the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling, where she has held various positions including president and is currently on the Executive Committee. As an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, she has also held various positions and has been a presenter at their annual conference since 1990. She will be co-chairing the 53rd Annual NACAC conference in Pittsburgh next fall.
