Faculty Lecture Series
Immaculata University presents a Faculty Lecture Series on Thursday, February 23, at 1:00 p.m. in the Green Room on the campus of Immaculata University. Two faculty members, who are experts in their field, will hold presentations on diverse topics of research: “Faculty Attitudes Toward NCAA Division III Student-Athletes” and “Recognizing Faces and Emotions in Schizophrenia.”
Kelly A. Stalker, M.Ed., ATC, chair of the Department of Physical Education and Exercise Science, will discuss NCAA Division III athletes and how they are perceived given public scandals and pervasive negative attitudes. Farzin Irani, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Graduate Psychology, will present her schizophrenia research to help improve understanding of schizophrenia so that focus can target early-intervention efforts to reduce its impact on people and society.
