Dr. Julie Guay Joins Faculty of Immaculata University’s Graduate Psychology Department

Immaculata University announces that Downingtown, PA, resident Julie L. Guay, Psy.D., joins the Graduate Psychology faculty as assistant professor.
Serving as an adjunct instructor at Immaculata University for over a year, Dr. Guay taught various business courses and served as research advisor to students. She also served as a teaching assistant at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University where she earned her degree in psychology.
With a varied professional career, Dr. Guay spent seven years at IBM Corporation where she was promoted to Systems Engineering Manager. In addition, her business resume includes positions as a vice president for marketing, project manager, and solutions director.
Her clinical work experience led her to Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Medical Group and Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in the Child/Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and the Pediatric Neuropsychology group. She conducted her clinical training at several institutions including Neuropsychological and Rehabilitation Consultants, Inc., Pain and Rehabilitation Clinic of Chicago, and University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Guay completed her APA Accredited internship at the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Since earning her Psy.D., she has completed fellowships in Rehabilitation Psychology at the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children and in Clinical Neuropsychology at Cooper University Hospital.
Earning her undergraduate degree in Business and then her MBA, both from Indiana University, Dr. Guay received her Psy.D. from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in 2006. Over the years, she has participated in additional professional training in areas such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing; Neuropsychology; Neuroanatomy and Neuroanatomical Dissection. She has presented on diagnostic and psychosocial issues associated with disorders such as ADHD, Dyslexia, and Spina Bifida. As an active professional in her field, Dr. Guay retains memberships in the American Psychological Association, the Pennsylvania Psychological Association, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychological Society, and the Philadelphia Neuropsychology Society.

Immaculata University, a Catholic, comprehensive, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of routes 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
