Constitution Day presentation
Immaculata University’s Eugene Halus Jr., Ph.D., will hold his annual Constitution Day presentation on Tuesday, September 18, at 1 p.m., in the Gabriele Library. His topic is What Direction Goes the Constitution? Chief Justice John Roberts and the Affordable Care Act.
Halus will lead a lively discussion of the Affordable Care Act, the Supreme Court and the national political scene as the nation prepares for the upcoming presidential election.
With a doctorate in political science from the Catholic University of America, Halus serves as associate professor of politics at Immaculata University and is the author of a number of peer-reviewed articles in the areas of urban and ethnic politics, American Catholicism and politics, and constitutional law as it relates to zoning, property, housing, and lending laws. He is also a frequent political commentator for CBS news.
