Chester County Dance Festival at IU

The 12th Annual Chester County Dance Festival was held at Immaculata University’s Alumnae Hall on Saturday, April 26, at 7 p.m.  The festival celebrated dancers’ talent and the diversity of dance styles in Chester County.  

The festival featured 16 dance groups from local professional and pre-professional companies, as well as area private and public schools. These groups performed in a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and modern. The groups included:

Sponsors for the Festival were the Immaculata University Dance Company, directed by Jessica Birkmire and Barbara Gallagher, M.Ed., assistant professor of human movement science, and the Immaculata Student Government Association.

Immaculata University is a Catholic, comprehensive, coeducational institution of higher education, located on the Main Line between Malvern and Exton, 20 miles west of Philadelphia.
