Amy Downey of Exton Named New Director of Commuter and Residence Life at Immaculata University
Amy Downey of Exton, PA, has been appointed to serve as Director of Commuter and Residence Life at Immaculata University.
Amy has an extensive career in the enhancement of residence life at local universities. Prior to serving at Immaculata, she was an Assistant Director of Residential Living/Resident Director at Drexel University, where she helped to facilitate the development of the university´s residential community. Amy has also worked in a variety of positions at West Chester University, including positions in the Office of Student Life and Office of Judicial Affairs.
Receiving her Bachelors of Science degree in Education from Lebanon Valley College, Amy went on to receive her Master´s of Science in Counseling with an emphasis on Higher Education from West Chester University. She is a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, the Association for Student Judicial Affairs, and the Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers.
Amy will be a great addition to the Department of Commuter and Residence Life at Immaculata University. As Director, her position focuses on housing, residence life, and commuter affairs. As the University continues to grow, the campus community looks forward to new housing and the construction of the new student center.

Originally from Drexel Hill, Amy graduated from Upper Darby High School in Upper Darby, PA. She currently resides in Exton with her husband, Chris, and daughter, Hailey Marie.
Immaculata University, a Catholic, comprehensive, coeducational institution, is located 20 miles west of Philadelphia, south of the intersection of Route 30 and 352, between Paoli and Exton.
