In the spring semester of 2010, the students, faculty, staff and IHM sisters of Immaculata University participated in a challenge: to complete 100 miles of exercise (walking, running, biking, swimming, etc.) over a period of nine weeks. The Office of Health Services and the Athletics Department worked together to promote fun and healthy levels of exercise that anyone could achieve. Immaculata University also made a pledge that for every 100 miles of exercise completed, 10 cans of food would be donated to the West Chester Food Cupboard, a local food donation center. The food was delivered on July 7, 2010 to a very grateful Food Cupboard.
On National Wear Red Day®, February 5, 2010, Americans nationwide wore wear red to show support for women’s heart disease awareness. For more information about The Heart Truth campaign, National Wear Red Day, and the Red Dress, the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness, visit www.hearttruth.gov. At Immaculata, Health Services and students from the Division of Nursing offered free blood pressure screenings, literature on heart health and information about strokes to the IU community.

Held Thursday, October 29, 2009. Many thanks to all our wonderful presenters & contributors for making the 2009 Halloween Health Fair a great success! Special thanks to all the students, faculty and staff who attended.
Walking is one of the easiest, most enjoyable and most profitable forms of exercise. In the month of October, the staff, faculty and students of IU put on their walking shoes to promote health and wellness in our community! October is over, but keep walking!!
The students of IU started their year off right by attending the Bruder Center Carnival - a fun and educational event geared towards personal development and wellness.
