Blocking Junk emails from outlook
Sometimes Iron Port does not block all “spam” emails from Outlook.

Follow these instructions to if you receive a spam email in outlook
1. Right click on the email message
2. Go to junk email and then click on “Add Sender to Blocked Senders list”

From then on all emails from that sender will be automatically filtered to your Junk email folder

Technology Tip:
It is Immaculata policy to lock your computer while you are away from it for a period of time.
It is important to protect your digital files when you are away from your computer.  Remember to lock your computer when you leave it unattended just as you would a file drawer.
This will make it more difficult for unauthorized personal to gain access to personal and confidential information.
Here’s how -Lock your computer or log off when away from your desk (press ALT-CTRL-DEL, then Lock Workstation or Log Off). -Unlock- press ALT-CTRL-DEL and login with your username and password.

Dear ANGEL Users,  

Mozilla has just released an update to the their Firefox web browser entitled “Firefox 7″.  

Please do not upgrade at this point in time due to ANGEL having some compatibility issues with this new release.  We will keep you informed as to when an update is released to remedy this problem.

All,   

Over the past few months OTS has researched several different methods of communicating news, status updates and tech tips across campus.  To communicate news,  OTS is going to use Twitter, Outlook Email and our OTS Blog .  

 Outlook Email: will be used only for System Status updates, operating hours, maintenance windows, virus alerts etc  These emails will be on an as needed basis

     Posts will be daily including FAQ’s, Tips, latest technology news, etc    

The format of the daily emails will be slightly different since we are now using third party email system called sendible.   The emails will come from the address ImmaculataHelpDesk.     If you have any questions, comments or concerns please let me know.
