The Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Management Program focuses on the acquisition of skills and knowledge in the following areas:

  • Examination and practice of the skills needed to deal effectively with management, staff and consumers, both inside and outside of the health care environment
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory environments that impact health care
  • The ability to assess research regarding the impact of current health care management and policy issues

  This program addresses the needs of three groups of adult learners:

  • Practicing health care professionals with associate degrees or certificates from hospital programs who seek career advancement through enhanced subject knowledge and management performance
  • Managers who have had some college, but who have not completed a baccalaureate degree and wish to make further progress in the health care environment
  • Individuals who may not work in the health care industry, but want to acquire skills for a career in health care management

Degree Requirements

  1. Completion of 126 semester hours accepted by Immaculata University
  2. Completion of 54 credit hours in the Accelerated Health Care Management (ACCEL®) program
  3. A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
