The Bachelor of Arts in Health Care Management Program focuses on the acquisition of skills and knowledge in the following areas:

Examination and practice of the skills needed to deal effectively with management, staff and consumers, both inside and outside of the health care environment

Communication and negotiation skills
-
Knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory environments that impact health care
-
The ability to assess research regarding the impact of current health care management and policy issues
This program addresses the needs of three groups of adult learners:

Practicing health care professionals with associate degrees or certificates from hospital programs who seek career advancement through enhanced subject knowledge and management performance

Managers who have had some college, but who have not completed a baccalaureate degree and wish to make further progress in the health care environment
-
Individuals who may not work in the health care industry, but want to acquire skills for a career in health care management
Degree Requirements

Completion of 126 semester hours accepted by Immaculata University
-
Completion of 54 credit hours in the Accelerated Health Care Management (ACCEL®) program

A cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
