Dr. Donna Bohn is Associate Professor of Music and Music Department Chair at Immaculata University.  Previously she was Associate Professor of Music and Chair, Fine Arts Division at Cornerstone University, Grand Rapids, MI and was a tenured Associate Professor of Music at Quincy University, Quincy, IL, where she was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award.  Her teaching duties include a wide range of courses, and she has taught the complete music theory, aural skills and music history sequences, all percussion curricula, basic conducting, music appreciation, senior projects, recitals, music convocation, world music, and general incoming freshman core curriculum courses.

Dr. Bohn is currently timpanist/principal percussionist with the Immaculata Symphony, and percussionist with the Chester County Pops Orchestra.  Previous performance experience includes percussionist with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Grand Rapids Symphonic Band and Kansas City Percussion Quartet, and timpanist with the Holland (MI) Symphony Orchestra, Quincy (IL) Symphony Orchestra and Muddy River Opera Company.  She was a member of the percussion faculty at Interlochen Arts Camp for twelve summers.  She is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, serving as Illinois Chapter President from 1999-2001, and she has worked on the Society’s College Pedagogy Committee. She is also a member of the College Music Society, and she is the Institutional Representative for the National Association of Schools of Music.  Currently, she has two percussion works published by C. Alan Publications, Walk in the Park for young percussion ensemble, and Celebration Suite for solo marimba. 

Dr. Bohn contributes extensively toward program and curricular development, integration, assessment and recruitment.  She has been involved in numerous university-wide committees, currently serving on the Undergraduate Curriculum and College of Undergraduate Studies Policies Committee, and Campus Ministry Committee as well as a Class Schedule Task Force.  She has served as chair of the Faculty Development and Welfare Committee at Quincy University, completing a new faculty policy manual, and initiating a new faculty development grant program.  Other prior committees include University Academic Committee, Enrollment Management Committee, Admissions Application Review Committee, and Vice President of Academic Affairs Search Committee.
