Graduate Music Therapy - Accreditation

The Music Therapy Program at Immaculata is approved by the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) and meets the requirements of the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CBMT). The Graduate Music Therapy Program is also accredited by the National Association for Schools of Music (NASM).

Students completing the 60-credit Master of Arts program are eligible to sit for the Board Certification exam (MT-BC) administered through CBMT, leading to a nationally acknowledged credential.

Students in both the 48- and 60-credit Master of Arts programs meet the educational requirements for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. Additional clinical training is required after the completion of the degree in order to meet all training requirements as an LPC.
