Affirming My Humanity: Diversity Matters

I Need A Minute…Affirming My Humanity

Topic: Diversity Matters

Hosted by Eugene Smith, Assistant Director, Multicultural Awareness

“I Need a Minute…Affirming My Humanity” is a semi-structured opportunity for members of the IU community to gather to discuss contemporary issues on violence, culture, and inclusivity that we see and hear about through the media, on social media, and through the lens of our personal lives.

The dialogues are not political in nature and therefore not a debate, but CARING opportunities for members of the Immaculata community who see those like themselves as victims of violence. As humans, we all need supportive environments to feel that we are not alone in our thoughts, feelings, and grief, but a place where understanding and sharing can possibly lift the burdens we may carry.
