Education - M.A. in Educational Leadership - Instructional Track

The Education or ESL Track enables teachers as educational leaders to:

  • Understand the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structure of the specific discipline to be taught
  • Understand how students learn in order to develop and plan learning opportunities to support their development through good instructional planning, effective learning environments, a variety of teaching strategies, and appropriate assessment tools
  • Create opportunities that foster the achievement of diverse learners in an inclusive classroom by encouraging positive social interaction, active engagement in learning, and self-motivation
