Start your graduate studies during the senior year of your bachelor’s program at Immaculata. Finish your Master of Business Administration (MBA) with DeSales in one additional year of study or at your own pace.

The DeSales MBA program is designed to prepare students for leadership positions in the management of business enterprises, government agencies, health care organizations, and not-for-profit organizations. The intent of the program is to provide students with the foundations for socially useful, and professionally rewarding, careers in a globalized and dynamic world. Our primary goal is not the training of technical specialists, but the development of corporate and community leaders.

Program Highlights


  • Get conditional acceptance to the DeSales University MBA program at no cost.
  • Start your MBA your senior year by taking two to three DeSales courses.
  • Choose your location – Courses are available on campus at IU, online, or at DeSales’ other PA locations, including Center Valley, Lansdale, or Bethlehem.
  • Save on tuition by receiving dual credit for the MBA courses toward both your undergraduate and MBA degrees.
    • If you pay comprehensive tuition at IU, it will cover the cost of DeSales MBA courses in your senior year. If you pay tuition on a per-credit basis, you will pay DeSales directly for these courses.
  • Earn additional credits toward your MBA – If you take four IU courses in marketing, management, accounting, finance, or human resources, DeSales may accept them in place of one core MBA course.

  • Complete all courses online if preferred.
  • Focus on ethical decision-making.
  • Explore globalization and its impact on business.
  • Participate in small classes and interactive learning.
  • Network with hundreds of professionals.
  • Choose from a variety of concentrations: Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Finance, Health Care Systems Management, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Project Management or design your own concentration.

Admission Requirements

To be accepted into the MBA program, you must:

  • Have a GPA of 3.3 or higher at the end of your junior year
  • Complete at least 150 internship hours
  • Submit written recommendations from at least two IU faculty members and one supervisor from your internship, job, club, etc.
  • Complete the prerequisite courses at either the undergraduate or graduate level:
    • IU undergraduate courses: Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Marketing, Management, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting (or Accounting Principles I and II), and Financial Management
    • Or you can begin your studies with DeSales graduate courses: Essentials of Economics, Management and Marketing Principles, Accounting for Decision Makers, and Managerial Finance

If you major in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or Human Resource Management, you will complete the undergraduate prerequisites as part of your bachelor’s degree at IU. If you major in Marketing Management, you can complete the prerequisites by taking Accounting Principles I and II (ACC 203 and 204) instead of Accounting and Budgeting (ACC 201).

Even if you choose a major other than those offered by IU’s Business and Accounting Department, you are still eligible for the 5th year MBA program if you meet the above requirements and begin your studies with the prerequisite courses.
