Senior Disorientation & Professional Presence Dinner

Welcome, CUS Class of 2014

For the first time, the Office of Career Development, in collaboration with the Class of 2014 and the Office of Alumni Relations, are offering you the unique opportunity to participate in a Disorientation process as well as enjoy a nice meal together while learning about business professionalism and dining etiquette.  This is all an effort to help you feel better prepared for your transition after graduation.  Registration for both events is required.  You can attend the Conference portion, the Dinner portion, or both.  We just need you to complete the registration form at the bottom of this page for one or the other or both events.

Senior Disorientation Conference
Friday, April 25, 2014, noon – 5 p.m.

Sign-in will begin at 12:00noon. Beginning with a keynote presentation at 12:30 p.m., and continuing throughout the afternoon, seniors are invited to attend various sessions designed to dis-orient them from their college experience and time at IU to help with the transition into the “real world.”  Topics will include things such as financial planning & literacy (paying back your loans); job search strategies and networking; graduate school planning and GRE information; and alumni panels talking about their personal experiences transitioning into their jobs and living on their own.  All students are welcome to attend any session listed below.

Polishing Your Professional Presence Business Dinner
Friday, April 25, 2014, 5 - 7:15 p.m.

This highly popular event is the finale to this year’s Senior Disorientation Conference.  Students are invited to listen to and interact with a guest speaker who covers the importance of first impressions, dining etiquette, nonverbal communication, and an appropriate wardrobe, as well as how to portray a professional presence when at business meetings, business meals, social occasions, and interviews.

Please register for the Disorientation and/or Dinner. Registration has now closed, however, if you are interested in attending either the Conference or the Dinner, please e-mail dmassey@immaculata.edu or call (610) 647-4400, ext. 3501.
