Earn three credits: Study Art Abroad (ART 216). Credits may be used as a humanities elective or to fulfill requirements for the art certificate or art history minor.
This Study Tour will be led by the chair of the Art Department, Diane Grimes, who invites college students, alumni, and families to experience the culture of Italy in this11-day tour. The tour will explore the arts and architecture through on-site lectures and professional guided tours in Rome, Florence, Milan and Lake Maggiore.
The tour begins in Rome. A guided tour begins in the ancient city of Rome, then on to Florence (home of the Renaissance) and continues to Milan. Sightseeing tours include the Vatican Musuem, Sistine Chapel, Saint Petas, Florence, Gates of Paradise, travel to Lake Garda, Milan and Lake Maggiore.
The cost of the tour is about $2890. Included in this price is round trip air fare, breakfast, several dinners, hotels, tours and transfers.
