The department sponsors two clubs that students can join. Each club has a faculty member as a sponsor but has students elected as officers in the club.
Anderson Mathematics Club
This club is a group of students who are interested in exploring fascinating aspects of mathematics by hosting guest speakers and a variety of on-campus and off-campus activities.
The Immaculata Student Chapter of the MAA (Mathematical Association of America) is a group of students who are interested in exploring fascinating aspects of mathematics by hosting guest speakers and a variety of on-campus and off-campus activities. Students often travel to undergraduate conferences at local universities to listen to faculty and student speakers, attend student poster session, do hands-on math activities, and compete in mathematics competitions. For more information about the MAA Student Chapter, contact the faculty advisor, Dr. Molli Jones, mjones2@immaculata.edu. For more information about the MAA, visit their website.
IU Technology Club - Student Chapter of the ACM
The student chapter of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) allows students to be associated with one of the premier educational and scientific societies, a society with more than 80,000 members. Our chapter hosts the IU Technology Club, which is open to all students interested in computer technology. All club officers are ACM student members. We have online and on-campus meetings that allow students to explore new technologies and meet local IT professionals and other students with the same interests.
