As part of his graduate studies, Mr. dePasquale attended both the Peabody Conservatory and the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts. Aside from Mr. dePasquale’s Immaculata responsibilities as the teacher of cello, the instructor of the string methods class and the director of the String Ensemble, he is also the director for both the West Chester East High School Orchestra and the West Chester Senior Strings. Under his direction, the Senior Strings have been recognized by PMEA (Pennsylvania Music Educators Association) five times; 1993, 1994, 1995, 1999 & 2006, as the best high school string orchestra in the state of Pennsylvania. They have also earned several first place trophies and near-perfect scores!
In addition, Mr. dePasquale teaches cello privately, which he has done for over 30 years. He currently performs with the Ocean City Pops, the Reading Symphony Orchestra, and the Main Line Chamber Players. Mr. dePasquale’s professional memberships include: MENC (Music Educators National Conference), PMEA, and AFM (American Federation of Musicians).
