Department Vision  

Immaculata University's Business and Accounting Department develops value-based, service-oriented business leaders for the global community. Business is the lifeblood of a culture, and business administration is the heart of business – whether locally, nationally, or as part of the growing global business community.

Immaculata graduates are prepared for leadership in the areas of business administration, accounting, economics, finance, human resources, and business education. With a strong foundation in the liberal arts, graduates are prepared to take a leadership role in a variety of business endeavors and are prepared to pursue advanced study in graduate programs.  

SAP University AllianceSAP University Alliance

Immaculata is a member of the University Alliance program of SAP, the world’s largest business software company. Through this alliance, SAP’s software is integrated into various courses, allowing students to learn to use it through case studies and test scenarios. SAP software is widely used across multiple industries to help businesses with operations management, enterprise resource planning, business intelligence, and more. Our students  gain a broad familiarity with SAP software and how it can improve business processes, which gives them marketable skills and an advantage in the job market.

Program Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the balance of theory and practice as it applies to the various sectors of the world of business, accounting, finance, marketing and economics
  • Exercise effective interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Use technology effectively to enhance productivity and efficiency on both individual and organizational levels
  • Use your business skills to make a difference in the world with the highest level of integrity and ethics

Immaculata's Business and Accounting program graduates demonstrate particular strengths in and knowledge of business ethics, economics and business integration/strategic management, as evidenced by external assessment administered by Peregrine Academic Services. Furthermore, internship supervisors are satisfied with the initiative and preparedness of student interns.
