S.A.I.U. is a student government association at Immaculata University. Recently, we have moved from a planning committee to a real government for student advocacy.
S.A.I.U. works with faculty and administration within the university in order to make a better institution for the students, by writing proposals and making changes here at IU. Although we are making the transition from planning to governance, S.A.I.U. still plans events that are traditions here at the university.
The Mac Mentor Program is a student-to-student mentoring program for first year and new transfer Immaculata students. This program requires returning students to dedicate themselves to a large range of responsibilities that extends until mid semester, Fall 2009.
The purpose of the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is to engage first year students in leadership development. The ELP is open to all first year students who have served as leaders prior to coming to IU or who have the desire to become active leaders while at IU. The ELP will provide leadership development foundations through seminars and workshops and various trainings.
