The Internship Program at Immaculata has as its fundamental purpose the integration of learning with life. Students have the opportunity to apply what they have learned, and to explore new places, to experience new people, and to broaden their perspective and personal goals. Through affiliation with an agency or a company, students encounter professional role models and observe the practical aspects of their career interests. Such experiences enable students to make more informed career choices at the completion of their college education.
All academic departments offer internship opportunities at leading businesses and organizations in the Philadelphia region either as requirements or as elective credits. Student interns have worked in a variety of fields including finance, business, marketing, social work, health care, entertainment and law. There are many ways students get connected with internships through career services or faculty.
Internships which students have obtained in the past include:
Students also have the option of participating in our XTERN Program. This program allows students to shadow a career person for a day to learn more about the field and position the chosen person is currently in. It is a wonderful way to obtain networking experience and it is also a great resume builder.
