College of Undergraduate Studies

Orientation Chair Welcome

Dear Newest Mighty Macs,

First, congratulations on your high school graduation, your acceptance to Immaculata University, and your decision to make the dome your home for the next four years! The New Student Orientation staff and I are extremely excited to welcome you not only to our campus, but more importantly, into the Immaculata family!!!

New Student Orientation (NSO) is a special opportunity to learn about IU, our traditions, campus life, how to become involved, and what it means to “BE MIGHTY!” Orientation will provide you with the opportunity to meet your fellow classmates, campus leaders, professors and administrators in a fun and energetic environment. Your IU family is here to make your transition into the next chapter of your life an exciting and positive one.

It was not long ago that my fellow co-chairs and I were in your shoes. We remember that the transition into college can be daunting. At times, we were scared and hesitant, but we also remember how excited, comfortable and at home we felt during and after our NSO experiences. We hope that NSO I and II will instill the same excitement and love for Immaculata in you that ours did. NSO is the first step in your college journey and an integral part of your success!!

If you have any questions or concerns about New Student Orientation, please feel free to call the New Student Orientation Office at 610-647-4400 ext. 3117 or e-mail us at

The NSO staff cannot wait to meet you during NSO I in June and help you plant your roots and begin classes in August during NSO II.

Welcome, Class of 2019!
