Black Tie Gala partnered with the Women’s
Basketball Coaches Association’s Pink Zone
program, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, and
Coaches vs. Cancer, to promote breast cancer
awareness. The Mighty Macs arrived at the event
in a stretch pink limousine.
Upon arriving at the Franklin Institute, guests
stepped onto a pink carpet before entering the
building where they were greeted with pink
champagne. IHM Sisters wore pink ribbons and
basketball shaped cookies tied with pink ribbons
were given to guests at the end of the evening.
The Mighty Macs and Immaculata President
Sister R. Patricia Fadden, IHM, Ed.D.,
continue to appear on bus and train advertising
throughout Philadelphia, PA., promoting breast
cancer awareness (see advertisement right).
